Flag Football- 2023 Season has come to an end!

The league consisted of two divisions with six teams each and ran April & May.  The league had over 130 participants from Santa Maria, Orcutt and Guadalupe.

In the 8-10 year old division, the final came down between the #1 seed Bobcats, from Guadalupe vs. the #2 seed Bengals.  The two teams split the regular season games and the Bengals coming out on top in the championship.

In the 11-13 year old division, it was the first seeded Raiders getting passed by the second seeded Seminoles with a score of 20-0.

The Boys & Girls Club would like to thank all the coaches for their time and efforts this season.  We would also like to thank Gabriel Velasco and the city of Santa Maria along with Dr. Emilio Handall, Dr. Michelle Fox & Guadalupe Union School District, for the use of their fields to host games.  A special thanks to Alex Jauregui for allowing us to use McKenzie Jr. high in a last minute pinch.

We look forward to our next season in 2024 with registrations set for February.  For more information about sports programs visit or Sports & Recreation page or contact Ernie Cuevas or Vanessa Buchan.
