The Stollmeyer Challenge

In the fall of 2021, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast received a generous pledge from Rick Stollmeyer. The total funding amount from Stollmeyer, of $300,000 over the next 5 years is in support of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) programming across the organization.

We take this opportunity to challenge our community partners to match funds to increase our ability to deliver STEAM programming to teens and increase the number of teens we can serve. You can join this challenge by donating today.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is committed to closing the opportunity gap in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) with innovative and creative programs, activity ideas and resources for Clubs and the youth they serve. Out of school learning environments provide unique opportunities to advance STEAM knowledge and increase interest in STEAM-related careers.

Using a cross-disciplinary approach that channels young people’s natural curiosity into the design process inherent in the arts, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast’s STEAM programs empower youth to create new solutions to real-world challenges. This project-based approach develops critical thinking, problem-solving and other 21st-century skills critical to success in the STEAM workforce and beyond.
