We are proud to have a seasoned leadership team of dedicated individuals who have committed themselves to making our Mid Central Coast clubs safe places to learn and grow during non-school hours. With over 17 decades of service to youth between us, we have the experience to enable the young people of the Central Coast, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Executive Team

Roberto Rodriguez, Chief Impact Officer

Bio -

Bio: Roberto has joyfully served the youth of our Central Coast communities for more than 20 years. He is blessed with a wife and three wonderful boys.

Hobbies: Roberto and his family enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and of course, boating in the summer.

Meghan Harris, Chief Operating Officer

Bio -

Bio: Meghan is an energetic people person, who loves using her experience and education to help expand the capabilities of the team at BGCMCC. She has been volunteering and working with youth-focused non-profit organizations since she was a teenager.

Hobbies: Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, enjoying family gatherings and collecting as many different types of pets as possible.

Anna Libbon, Chief Program Officer

Bio -

Bio: Anna has worked for Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast for more than 30 incredible years, and is still excited to come to work every day, because working with youth is a true passion of hers.

Hobbies: Anna’s hobbies include mosaic art, baking, mixed media, sewing and just about anything that allows her to be creative.

Maria Fabula, Chief Executive Officer

Bio -

Bio: Maria believes in the power of the social sector to advance change and holds a deep commitment to solving the systemic causes of poverty. She has spent her career connecting nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, business leaders, government representatives and engaged community members to increase their collective impact.

Having grown up on the Central Coast, Maria is deeply passionate about our community and thrilled to be part of an organization with such a rich history of empowering youth.

Maria earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Hobbies: Outside of her professional pursuits, Maria cherishes her roles as a devoted partner, and mother to Christian, Bella and Noah. Her heart finds happiness in various activities, including hiking, leisurely beach strolls, culinary explorations of diverse cuisines and venturing to new and unexplored destinations. Her blended heritage of English, Irish, Mexican and Native American roots, enhances her cultural identity and broadens her perspectives.

Deb Jeffers, Chief Advancement Officer

Bio -
Bio: Deb is a Central Coast native, having grown up and working in the area for the majority of her professional career. According to Deb, it is very important to give back to the community that has given so much to her. She is thrilled to bring her talents to Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast as the Chief Advancement Officer, overseeing the Resource Development department.
Hobbies: Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends near and far, golfing and anytime she can walk on the beach.

Brandi Garcia, Finance & Business Operations Manager

Bio -

Bio: Brandi has been happily employed with Boys & Girls Clubs for over 20 years, and is excited at how far the organization has come and continues to go.

Hobbies: Brandi loves cooking, barbecues, road trips, the DODGERS and spending time with her daughter, son and family.

Ernesto Cuevas, Athletic Program Director

Bio -

Bio – Ernesto was born and raised in Santa Maria, and he was a member of the Boys Club as a kid. Ernesto has been working with the Club since 2001.

Hobbies – Ernesto’s hobbies include, golfing, being outdoors, exercising and enjoying good wine.

Christin McGee, People & Operations Manager

Bio -

Bio: Christin was born and raised in Southern California. She received her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies in 2009, and worked in the legal field for 10 years before moving to the Central Coast at the end of 2019.

Hobbies: Christin’s hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening and Harley rides. On weekends, you can find her enjoying the beaches and trails with her husband and fur babies.

Mary Bolton, Program Assistant

Bio -

Bio: Mary has worked for Boys & Girls Clubs for multiple years as a Club Director before transitioning to Program Assistant, where she loves working with staff to help implement our high-quality Club experiences. 

Hobbies: Mary loves new travel experiences, reading, hiking, great Korean food and watching poorly made old movies.

Kelly Brickey, Events Manager

Bio -

Bio: Kelly is the Events Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. She was involved with BGCMCC as a kid, playing in the basketball league for several years. Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in mass communications from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Before working with BGCMCC, Kelly has had professional roles in the entertainment, news and marketing industries.

Hobbies: In her free time, Kelly is an avid long-distance runner and is always looking to sign up for her next big race. Kelly also enjoys traveling around the world, and loves to go to concerts with her friends. She loves hanging out with friends and family as much as possible, as well as soaking up the sun whenever she can.

Miguel Torrez-Frausto, Club Director - Railroad Club

Bio -

Bio: Born in Santa Barbara and raised in Santa Maria, Miguel has been working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast for almost a decade. Miguel is currently the Club Director of the Railroad Clubhouse in Santa Maria. He loves working at Railroad with our members.

Hobbies: Miguel enjoys watching sports, especially the Lakers and Cowboys, playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends.

Carina Ramirez Solorio, Club Director - Shandon Club

Bio -

Bio: Carina is the Club Director at the Shandon Club. Carina graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development.

Josue Rojo Garrido, Director of Teen Services

Bio -

Bio: Josue Rojo is a Club Alumni and has been in the movement for nine years. Josue has been a staff member at several Club sites, including being the Club Director at the Ron Estabillo Clubhouse in Guadalupe for several years. Josue has stepped into the role of Director of Teen Services as of early 2026.

Veronica Ayon, Club Director - Creston Club

Bio -

Bio: Veronica is the Club Director for the Creston Boys & Girls Club, where she is dedicated to creating a positive and engaging environment for children. She has completed child development courses at Cuesta College and is a child care provider, bringing both expertise and a deep passion for working with kids. Veronica takes pride in making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families she serves.

Hobbies: In her free time, Veronica enjoys spending quality time with her twin boys and daughter, hiking, exploring nature and discovering new coffee shops.

Julia Ruiz-Guerrero, Club Director - Guadalupe Jr. High Club

Bio -

Bio: Julia’s connection to the Boys & Girls Clubs began in 2005 as a Club kid. The support and mentorship she received shaped her passion for youth development, leading her back in 2019 as a Youth Development Professional at the McKenzie Club in Guadalupe. Over the years, Julia grew into leadership roles, becoming an Assistant Club Director and, in early 2025, stepping into her current role as Club Director. Every day, Julia works to create a space where kids feel empowered to find their voices, grow with confidence, and embrace their potential.

Hobbies: Julia enjoys spending time with family and friends, catching up and making memories. She also loves unwinding at the beach, just sitting under an umbrella, listening to waves crash.

Daisy Perez, Regional Club Director - Northern Santa Barbara County

Bio -

Bio: Daisy first joined the Boys & Girls Club at the age of 17, becoming an active member of the Keystone Teen Leadership Program. After school, Daisy spent much of her time in the teen room, where she found a sense of community and belonging among her peers. Through Keystone, Daisy had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta, Georgia—an experience that left a lasting impact on her and deepened her appreciation for youth leadership and engagement. At 19, Daisy was offered a position in the Learning Center, marking the beginning of her professional journey with this organization. Since then, she has continuously embraced opportunities for growth and advancement, ultimately leading to her current role as Regional Club Director for the Clubs in Northern Santa Barbara County.

Hobbies: Daisy enjoys spending her free time with family, exploring hiking trails, wine tasting and traveling. She also makes the most of the rare sunny, warm days we’re fortunate to experience in the 805 beaches.

Chris Briano, Administrative Coordinator

Bio -

Bio: Chris’ passion lies in creating systematic, lasting change for young people and the communities they call home. With a background in business strategy, communications, and administration, she brings both heart and expertise to her work with Boys and Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast.

Education: Chris has earned a bachelor’s degree in language studies from UC Santa Cruz and a master’s degree in Communication Management from University of Southern California.

Hobbies: Outside of work, Chris finds happiness in spending quality time with her family. She loves to travel, expressing herself through a creative outlet, be it writing, painting, or creating music; she thrives in the creative space.

Guadalupe Anguiano Lopez, Club Director - Atascadero Club

Maria Avelar, Regional Club Director - Northern San Luis Obispo County

Bio -

Bio: Maria is the Regional Club Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast, where she oversees multiple Club sites and works to ensure we’re delivering high-quality, impactful programs for youth across our communities.

Maria earned her degree in Child Development from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, along with additional Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and certification from Cuesta College. Her journey with Boys & Girls Clubs started as a volunteer during her freshman year of high school, and she later became a Youth Development Professional (YDP) as a senior. Since then, Maria has grown through multiple leadership roles, which has given her a strong understanding of Club operations at every level.

Maria is passionate about supporting the growth and development of youth, building strong teams and creating positive, safe environments where kids can thrive. She is also deeply committed to expanding opportunities for the communities we serve.

Hobbies: Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local hiking trails, reading and trying new foods with her husband.

Mayra Bautista, Club Director - Mary Buren Club

Rubi Garcia Barajas, Club Director - McKenzie Club

Bio -

Bio: Rubi is the Club Director of the McKenzie Club, based in Guadalupe. She is passionate about what she does and loves being part of a team that makes a positive impact!

Hobbies: Rubi enjoys staying active and going to the gym, spending time with her family and loved ones, and traveling to explore new places. In her free time, she likes to relax, run errands and enjoy the little things in life.

Jordann Aragon, Club Director - Evans Park Club

Dr. Maria Escobedo, Club Director - Tom Maas Club

Bio -

Bio: Dr. Escobedo has over 28 years of experience in higher education both in the four-year and two-year community college system. She has extensive leadership and administrative experience in student programming, budgets, administering sites, grant writing and administration, community partnerships and working with non-profit organizations, assessment and community engagement.

Maria received her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Pacific University at Stockton, her Master’s degree in Sociology/Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas
and Texas Southmost College and her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Bakersfield.

Hobbies: Dr. Escobedo enjoys working on DYI projects, outdoor activities, gathering with friends and family and being engaged and giving back to the community.
