Who We Are

Atascadero – On the Fine Arts Academy Campus at 6100 Olmeda Ave Atascadero CA 93422 – We are a youth development organization with skilled, caring professionals who understand where every kid is coming from and help them shape their path toward a great future. As soon as our members walk through our doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety. All our Clubhouses run programs designed to be fun and engaging, while building skills and confidence for a successful future. We provide safety and support during critical hours of the day as well as meals, strong role models, organized athletics and access to the arts.

Who We Serve

We welcomes more than 2,500 youth between the ages of 6 and 18 to our Clubhouses and School-Based Clubs Sites. We operate thirteen locations in Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Atascadero, Shandon, and Paso Robles. An additional 4,000 kids participate in our sports leagues.

Our Mission

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Program Goals

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has been in the forefront of youth development for over 54 years. Our purpose is to inspire and empower Club youth to achieve success and to nurture young people’s self-esteem by instilling in them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and competence. All our programs are designed to fulfill our mission. We assure positive developmental experiences through five key elements for positive youth development:
  • Providing a safe, positive environment
  • Fun
  • Supportive Relationships
  • Opportunities and Expectations
  • Recognition
