Team Member Spends Two Weeks in Ghana

Mina Donkor, Area Director for SLO County, recently spent two weeks visiting family and exploring Ghana.  She had not been there for six years and took the opportunity to bring a friend along with her to enjoy familiar sights, sounds, food, and people but also spend time exploring parts of the country even new to Mina.

They visited a city called Akosombo where their dam is famous for creating Lake Volta (the largest man made Lake in the world by surface area). They also saw the Elmina Slave Castle and visited Aburi Botanical Gardens.  Mina took extraordinary pictures and is always eager to share information about Ghana, her homeland.
