Several community members joined the staff at Boys & Girls Clubs Mid Central Coast’s Railroad Clubhouse to learn more about the Club all while working with a group of some of the Club’s youngest members to create spooky crafts for Halloween.
The Club was honored to include two members of their Board of Directors for the afternoon’s festivities. Cookies & Kids is a quarterly drop-in event that gives community members the opportunity to spend an hour seeing our Club sites in action, meeting and working with members, and to get a taste of the Club’s program that help ensure great futures for our community’s youth.
“Watching the Club Members have SO much fun creating their Halloween art projects, was a perfect Thursday afternoon experience! Also, the RESPECT they shared with one another and their Staff Mentor, was not only inspirational, but also as natural as eating the cookies at the end of the project time,” shared board member, Debbie Perrault.
The next Cookies & Kids event will take place Thursday, October 20th from 4-5pm and the brand new Tom Maas Clubhouse in Paso Robles. For more information, or to reserve a spot, please email the Club’s Annual Fund Manager, Daniel Rushing or call 805-441-0325.
