Teens Explore College Funding Opportunities

Our Keystone Club had a presentation from Jose Olvera with the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. He shared with members about different avenues to pay for college, including Pell Grants, scholarships, loans, etc and how the Scholarship Foundation has been helping students for over 60 years. Face Painting and More at Tom Maas

Tom Maas was open for the Veterans Day holiday  and the Members seemed to have a lot of fun.  They enjoyed a yummy breakfast that included eggs and potatoes with a side of delicious hot chocolate.  Members also had a blast getting their faces painted!

Slime Time at Tom Maas

Members had a blast making slime for fun Friday.  They had so much fun getting to make their very own slime and customizing their slime colors!

Making Parachutes at Tom Maas

Members at Tom Maas made little squishies fly with parachutes that they made.  These parachutes were made up of tissue paper, string, tape, and squishies.  They learned the science behind how parachutes work and the importance of their use for skydiving.  

Team Building at Tom Maas

Members participated in a team building activity in which they used different sizes of hula hoops and their hands.  They had to work together as a team to get through the hula hoops while holding hands and making sure not to let go.  This taught the Members communication skills and teamwork!

Getting Messy at Tom Maas

Members had some messy fun getting to make cloud dough.  This dough is made up of hair conditioner and flour.  The conditioner and flour mixed together made a really soft dough, almost like playdough!

Movie Time at Tom Maas

Staff at Tom Maas made a wonderful and fun movie experience for the Members.  They made cool signs of what movie the Members were going to watch and also got the popcorn machine fired.  They also did face painting for the Members.  Members had so much fun, thanks to Staff!

Reunited and It Felt So Good

Members at our McKenzie Club are participating in guitar, rock band, violin, and choir classes thanks to a partnership with the Guadalupe Unified School District and the nonprofit music program, Infinite Music.
