Back A Youth Night Creates Fun for Youth and Adults Alike

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast hosted its 2nd Annual Back a Youth Night event at the Tom Maas Clubhouse in Paso Robles on Thursday, October 19. Around 45 Club Kids and 30 mentors participated in the three activities organized by the clubhouse staff, which included a fall art project, the Rain in a Jar science activity and a drumming circle.

The sponsors of this year’s Back a Youth Night at Tom Maas included presenting sponsor, Coast Hills Credit Union, as well as Golden 1 Credit Union. Many community members signed up as mentors, representing local businesses such as SLO Credit Union, Oak & Vine Wealth Management, Reiter Affiliated Companies and Infinite Music. Many of the kids enjoyed their time with their mentors, getting to know one another through icebreaker activities and showing them around the clubhouse before the activities began.

Dinner for the evening was provided through  Panda Cares Panda Express and served by local Panda Express employees to everyone. After all participants finished the activity rotation, they were invited to enjoy a raffle, where some Club Kids were the lucky winners of some amazing prizes. Some of the prizes included homemade cookies baked by Anna Libbon, book bundles, The Ravine Waterpark tickets and a pickleball set.

All of the Club Kids also received a goodie bag filled with fun items like school supplies, toys and treats.

The next Back a Youth Night is currently scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Tom Maas Clubhouse in Paso Robles.  Contact Kelly Brickey if you are interested in participating or sponsoring the event.

Back A Youth Night

Mentor a Club Member at Back A Youth Night

Do you remember the adult in your life who made you feel like you could do anything? That’s the power of a great mentor. Kids need that support more than ever, even if it’s just for one evening.

Back a Youth Night is a great event where we invite our friends to partner with a Club Member. You’ll have dinner, participate in Club activities, and get to meet a great kid who attends our Clubs. You will participate in core program areas that are the foundation of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast programming:

  • Character & Leadership Development
  • Education & Career Development
  • Health & Life Skills
  • The Arts
  • Sports, Fitness & Recreation
