As we welcomed May, our Shandon Members took the time this week to celebrate those whose birthdays were in April. We first sang the “Happy Birthday” song, enjoyed delicious Nerd flavored popsicles, and shared nice comments about those who were celebrated.
Another highlight of our week was taking a trip to visit the Shandon Library . Besides being able to read as well as check books out, the wonderful Librarian, Joey Ley, always has great activities planned for our Members and keeps them entertained. This time, Youth had the opportunity to complete a Star Wars scavenger hunt in honor of “May the fourth” for a fun prize! And as a craft, they enjoyed designing and building their very own fidget spinners using cardboard, paper, and yarn.
