Keystone Teens Share Health Information With the Community

Keystone, our teen leadership group, shared information with the local community about water conservation and preventing heat exhaustion at the annual Family Day In the Park in Santa Maria where hundreds of families were in attendance.

Their water conservation and extreme heat awareness campaign will last through December of 2023 and is made possible through grant support from the California Alliance of the Boys & Girls Club .  In addition to hosting informational booths at various community events, the Keystone Club plans to provide informational and interactive workshops on this topic for local youth throughout the Fall 2023 hosted at various Boys & Girls Club sites.

Our Boys & Girls Club’s Keystone program is a premier teen leadership experience focused on academic success, career preparation, and community service for students in grades 9th-12th.  Local high school students interested in becoming involved with the Keystone program may contact the Railroad Club at 805-922-7163 or email Teen Services Coordinator, Jeanette Blanco.
