Local Teens Working to Educate Our Community

Our Keystone teen leadership board have been actively distributing resources on various topics to our local community at Santa Maria’s Downtown Fridays.  As part of the Fall 2023 campaign to raise community awareness on preparation for extreme heat events, water conservation as well as sharing the benefits of having a Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, community outreach has helped teens engage with the public.

This outreach effort is made possible through a grant from the California Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and the  Governor’s Office.  Our Keystone teens engaged with community members at Downtown Fridays by hosting several informational and youth activity booths.  For more information on how you can support environmental and community engagement initiatives at the Club, please contact Jeanette Blanco, Director of Teen Services at jeanette.blanco@centralcoastkids.org
