November has been a month full of grace, gratitude, and gobbles. We celebrated Ms. Itzel’s birthday on the 3rd, and a few days later, honored September + October Birthdays. Our High School members decorated the windows, so shoutout to their fantastic, artistic skills! And our art wall has come together beautifully this month. Our bunch of Tkers made cardboard pumpkins and have enjoyed playing with pumpkin spice cloud dough that was made by Mrs. Angela.
On November 19th, Staff worked hard to achieve a successful Thanksgiving Feast. Our wonderful parents donated enough food for our Members to enjoy a perfect meal. That morning, Ms. Zar and Ms. Shyleen shredded rotisserie chickens, Ms. Carina and Ms. Itzel made mashed potatoes, and Ms. Angela prepared the corn. Members were also given gravy with their mashed potatoes and two Hawaiian rolls with a side of juice of choice. To top the evening off, we had a choice of apple or pumpkin pie with whipped cream and everyone including Staff enjoyed a delicious plate as well as seconds and our hearts couldn’t have been more thankful.
During free time, we continued the fun and had a turkey disguise competition. All participants did an amazing job and some even left the staff in awe with how talented they truly are.
