Brooks Wise was surprised with a celebration of his service to the Boys & Girls Clubs with a luncheon awarding him a National Silver Medallion by representatives of the Coastal Area Council. Brooks has served on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast for 25 years and has served as Chair for the Coastal Area Council for the past 3 years. The Coastal Area Council is made up of representatives from 10 club organizations from California’s Central Coast area. The Silver Medallion is given to board members and other volunteers who have provided outstanding and exemplary services to the Boys & Girls Club and to the Movement in a specific region. The luncheon was attended by staff and volunteers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast, Oxnard-Port Hueneme, Kern County and hosted at the Oxnard-Port Hueneme Boys & Girls Club. Brooks Wise’s wife, Katie Wise was also in attendance.
In addition to the award, a $1000.00 donation was made to our Clubs from the Coastal Area Council in honor of Brooks!
