Members of the Torch Club at the Railroad Club site spent their afternoon helping to make their community and neighborhood better. As a group, Torch Club members decide on ways they want to give back and for their first project of the year, they decided on a trash clean up at Atkinson Park in Santa Maria. You can see they filled quite a few bags! Way to care about your neighborhood and public facilities we all can enjoy.
Torch Club is a BGCA program that focuses on small group leadership for Club members age 11 -13. Each Torch Club plans, fundraises and executes service projects throughout the year. They do acts of service for their Clubs as well as in their larger community.
The Torch Club Mission: Torch Club members learn to enrich their lives and the lives of others through service, leader ship and by demonstrating good character.
