Nashville Comes to Santa Maria

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast hosted Pryor Baird, the talented singer and musician who wowed audiences on Season 14 of NBC’s hit show “The Voice,” during a benefit concert on May 19th in Santa Maria, CA.

The concert took place at the delightful rooftop plaza at Toyota of Santa Maria and all proceeds from the event went directly to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast.  As a special treat, Pryor brought singer-songwriter and famed country music produc, Doug Johnson, as his special guest to create a very intimate evening of music and storytelling.  Doug Johnson is VP of A&R of Blackriver Entertainment in Nashville where Pryor Baird has a publishing contract.  Doug is a Nashville insider and a country radio multiple #1 hit song writer, and writer of Song of the Year.  Together, they entertained with great music, fun stories, and insider information about the world of Nashville.  

Pryor Baird rose to fame as a contestant on “The Voice,” where his powerful voice and dynamic performances won the hearts of viewers across the country. Since then, he has continued to perform and record music, blending elements of rock, soul, and country to create a unique and memorable sound.

“I’m honored to be part of this special event and support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast,” said Baird. “As a Central Coast Native, I’m thrilled I can give back to my home town and know how valuable Boys & Girls Clubs are to kids and families in the community.  I hope my music can help raise awareness and support for their efforts.”
