New Bikes Courtesy of a lot of Santa’s Helpers

Employees, their families, and community volunteers with Waste Connections spent a recent Saturday building 200 bikes they will donate to local youth-serving organizations.  Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast will receive 60 new bikes that we can distribute to our Club Members most in need of these great gifts.  Club staff transported the bike donations to our Santa Maria and Paso Robles Clubs and will do the distribution throughout all 13 of our Clubs before Club Members begin their Winter Break.  The donation even comes with a new bike helmet for every child!

Waste Connections encompasses San Luis Garbage, South County Sanitary, Mission Country Disposal, Morro Bay Garbage and Coastal Rolloff.  They did their bike build at their main warehouse in San Luis Obispo and included a bounce house, taco truck and other fun activities to keep the day exciting and rewarding for all kids and adults who worked hard to get so many bikes built in one day.

We continue to be grateful that Club Kids are on the minds of local organizations who know that making a donation through Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast ensures many great kids have the resources and support they need.
