STEM Never Starts Too Early

TK/K members at the Railroad Clubhouse got to experience building and flying paper planes as a part of our Ultimate Journey program. They learned about flight and seeing who’s paper plane goes the highest and farthest. Ultimate Journey is one of BGCA’s oldest and most successful STEM programs. Developed in partnership with the National Park Service, the curriculum features age-appropriate modules that introduce young people in 4th-8th grade (9- to 13-year-olds) to aspects of environmental stewardship. It includes fun, experiential, environmental education activities that cultivate an awareness and appreciation of the natural wonders that surround young people.  Our talented staff were able to re-create BGCA approved STEM activities to be useful to even our youngest members.
