Guadalupe Back A Youth Night Always a Good Time With the Community

Our annual Back a Youth Night at the Ron Estabillo Clubhouse in Guadalupe was a huge success, with 50 Club Kids and more than 30 mentors partnering up for an evening of fun activities!  Kiwanis Club of Guadalupe treated everyone to a grilled hotdog dinner, completed with chips and sodas that participants got to enjoy while taking part in some dice-inspired icebreakers. Included in their meals were the world-famous cookies made by Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast’s very own Anna Libbon.

The event featured three fun activities to get our Kids and mentors engaged — creating shrinky-dink keychains in the arts & crafts room, making lava lamps in the library and fashioning binary code jewelry in the games room. Community members got to experience what it’s like to be a “Club Kid” by enjoying the kidns of activities our Members get to experience every day.

Finally, each Club Kid was lucky enough to pick a prize from the raffle table thanks to donations by Betteravia Farms and the Alumni Association of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast. The grand prize, a large black bike, went home with Emmanuel, who was beyond excited to win. All of the participants could also take some cute pictures together at the BGCMCC photobooth, or next to the race car set up by Tommy Eames.

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, SESLOC Credit Union, for its support of Back a Youth Night! Also, a major thank you to all of our sponsors: Rotary Club of Santa Maria Breakfast, Driscoll’s, Toyota of Santa Maria, Pacific Premier Bank, Allan Hancock College and Dignity Health.
