The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast, in partnership with Guadalupe Union School District, had a very exciting and successful science experiment at the Guadalupe Jr. High site earlier in February.
The lesson was based around the three states of matter. They combined different substances to create chemical reactions. This specific experiment was called ‘The Matter Monster,’ which involved starting with two separate liquids that, when combined and stirred, release a gas that turns both liquids into a solid.
This experiment was just another great example of the STEM lessons taught as a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs’ programs in order to develop inquisitive scientific skills and understand the methods used by other STEM-related career paths.
