Habitat SLO Welcomes New Families to a Tour of Tom Maas Clubhouse

Habitat for Humanity SLO County welcomed about nine families to their new homes at the beginning of August. As a part of the Habitat homeownership program, families attend a homeowner workshop each month, focused on preparing them to enter homeownership for the first time. These include topics that range from financial literacy, writing a trust and will, how to be energy-efficient in their homes, and how to take an active role in their new community. Because their homes are very close to the Tom Maas Clubhouse, HabitatSLO scheduled a tour of the Tom Maas Clubhouse, in hopes that by introducing them to our programs and mission,they will sign their children up in the near future. We proudly welcomed a group of families to tour the Club and discussed programs that we offer. We look forward to welcoming their children to the Club this next school year.
