Two of our Keystone Club Members traveled to Sacramento for Days of Advocacy, where they brought the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast to the Capitol.
Keystone President Jesse and Keystone Vice President Rubi visited the State Capitol Building to hear about issues facing many non-profits, including Boys & Girls Clubs across the state. They even got to meet Assemblymember Phillip Chen.
The members also had a meeting with California State Senate President Pro-Temp Monique Limon, who is a Club Alumni! They advocated for after-school funding alongside CEO Maria Fabula.
Days of Advocacy is an annual trip to bring awareness to the vision of BGCMCC, and is always one of the most engaging ways to get our young people involved.
