The Shandon Members are full of Halloween Spirit, and the club decorations definitely show it! Our creative High Schoolers, Betsaida and Emely decorated the windows with acrylic markers, and the rest of our youth have made sure to add a spooky touch to our art walls in both classrooms. Recently, our kiddos got to enjoy painting pumpkins while listening to fun Halloween tunes. Our free-time activities have consisted of playground shenanigans, feeding the school’s goats with fallen leaves, block play, and much more.
This past week, 10/20-10/24, we had Spirit Week at our club, where Staff and Members both participated. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was autumn day, Wednesday was fictional character day, Thursday was jersey day, and Friday was pattern day. On fictional character day, Ms. Shyleen was Shrek, Ms. Itzel was Max, Goofy’s son, Ms. Zar was Kim Possible, Ms. Carina was Scooby-Doo, and Mrs. Angela was Winnie The Pooh. Also, members who wanted to, were offered face painting, and those who participated in our spirit week enjoyed a tasty treat made by Mrs. Angela on Friday.
