Springing Into May!

This month the Shandon Club has been filled with nothing but sun-sational smiles and endless spring laughter! Our TKers recently had a blast participating in water play with a sensory bin filled with water and seashells and a “magical” self-drying water mat. Mother’s Day crafts were led by Mrs. Angela. Youth decorated an adorable competition ribbon as well as a flower by using paper plates, paint, glitter and paper.

With a lot of patience, Members have put together a numerous amount of beautiful melting bead pieces that have resulted in dinosaurs, teacup sets, My Little Pony, Pokémon, Toy Story, Super Mario, and Hello Kitty characters. Ms. Itzel ran a team building game where Members competed in teams to get a cup across their team line by only using a stick held by their mouths. Ms. Itzel also led a creative craft for one of our “Wednesday Art Days” where our Members had fun making flowers with petals made out of pistachio shells.

Ms. Czarina made delicious vanilla ice cream from scratch using 3 simple ingredients:  heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. After mixing the ingredients together, the mixture was split evenly into sandwich bags and placed in the freezer for it to set and enjoy the next day!

We can’t wait for the summer fun to begin in June!
