It’s amazing how sometimes the little things we take for granted, can make a huge difference! The Shandon Club has been growing and only had a mini-fridge to store snacks and fresh foods for Club Members. Club Diretor, Carina Ramirez, was unable to order fresh food from the SLO County Foodbank due to lack of storage which was a huge loss to our Club.
Thanks to the generosity of Idlers, a full size refrigerator was recently delivered and Club Members and staff are so thankful for the generosity! There are almost 50 Club Members–ages 4 – 18 at the Shandon Club and we recently started serving TK students who arrive shortly after noon and are in need of a healthy snack.
Never forget the power of a simple gesture!
