Our teens in Santa Maria had an opportunity to “Meet A Professional” veterinarian. Dr. Brown, co-owner of PETS Hospital in Orcutt spoke to members about what it’s like to be a vet, the training/schooling required, and some of the challenges. Veterinarians are not just at the clinic but also work in the fields of education, agriculture, space, and many more areas that members were not aware of before. They also brought along a couple of fur babies for the teens to engage with.
Our popular “Meet a Professional” program for teens continues on September 24th when a NASA engineer will talk about her career in space and science.
