On June 6th, the community is invited to a ribbon cutting and celebration of new outdoor space at the Railroad Clubhouse in Santa Maria. Through a combination of generous community donations and funding through a grant from the Pacific Youth Foundation, the Railroad Club has expanded its usable space to include an outdoor amphitheater and, much needed, green space to host a variety of activities and sports. “Because of the social distancing requirements we followed during the pandemic, we realized that more fresh air and outdoor space to move around was necessary for our Club Members,” shares Roberto Rodriguez, Chief of Club Operations. He continues “so thanks to grant money and enormous support from local contractors, we are thrilled to open our amphitheater. The kids have been using the green space for a few months now and because of it we’ve been able to offer more structered sports and physical fitness in an outdoor environment.” Famco Development in Santa Maria have been significant donors and supporters of all of the outdoor renovation.
The community is invited to join the ribbon cutting and celebration on June 6th from 4 – 6 pm. The Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce will host the ribbon cutting at 4:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided. The Railroad Clubhouse is located at 901 N. Railroad Avenune in Santa Maria. Click here to RSVP.
