The Shandon Club celebrated Thanksgiving a little early in a fun and sweet way. The Members started off the week tracing their hands and cutting out their hand prints then gluing them to form a turkey’s feathers. This activity was a symbolism of unity. The week continued on with them choosing their own best disguise for their paper turkey using colored pencils, markers, glue, glitter, and their imagination. The winners were announced at the end of the week but everyone was rewarded for their effort and participation. The Club Members also wrote on their individual white boards and shared what they were thankful for. Many of the answers included; family, health, and a home. Lastly, the Shandon Club Members gathered together to enjoy a slice of sweet pumpkin pie. The smiles of gratitude filled the Club with warmth.
