The Teen Center at Flamson had a successful first workshop for the Stollmeyer Challenge! Our members got to create beautiful rainbow art work for the Mixed Media Rainbow Art session and had a fun time doing it. Our YDP Mel ran it very well and we look forward to our five remaining workshops we have for this first round of the Stollmeyer Challenge.
For those who are not aware of what the Stollmeyer STEAM Challenge is, it is a series of 6 workshops that implement 1 of the 5 subjects of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). When a member has completed all 6 workshops they are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship! If your child did not get a chance to participate this first round, have no fear! We will be implementing this challenge 3 more times throughout the year (4 times total).
