Soccer for Success Was a Success in Santa Maria

The Evans Park Clubhouse in Santa Maria has been running the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s program Soccer for Success and it has been a huge hit!  In this program, youth got to learn and practice soccer fundamentals and spent a lot of time outdoors playing this sport.  They even got their own jerseys!

Staff Keeps Skills Sharp

We spent President’s Day training or recertifying stasff CPR/First Aid in both our Paso Robles and Santa Maria regions.  A total of 28 staff members completed their CPR/First Aid certifications. Science Fun With Skittles

Using candy, Club Members at our Flamson Club learned about the scientific method and how it relates to observing and learning. Kids assembled skittles in circle on plate, then put droppers of water on skittles and observed results.

Healthy Eating With the Kids Farmers Market

Through our partnership with the Santa Barbara County Foodbank, we are able to offer our popular Kids Farmers Market at the Railroad Clubhouse.  The Foodbank brings produce to the Clubhouse and Club Members get to learn about nutrition, do taste tests, and even get to do some food preparation with what is provided.  They also… Read more »
