Supporters Shine at Diamonds Are Forever Gala & Auction

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is celebrating the success of its recent gala event, raising more than $150,000 for the organization.

The evening of fundraising, dubbed ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ in honor of 60 years of service on the Central Coast, brought hundreds of community members together for a dazzling evening of auctions, raffles and inspiration. The event, held at the Veterans’ Memorial Center in Santa Maria on May 9, also featured a proclamation of 60 years from Jane Kim of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, who presented the award to CEO Maria Fabula.

Guests enjoyed a silent auction done exclusively through a digital platform, as well as a dessert and live auction, a paddle raise and a raffle, which gifted a gorgeous silver diamond necklace to the lucky winner. Everyone then enjoyed some live music by the talented Unfinished Business, who filled the end of the evening with the best of 60s and 70s rock music.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast would like to recognize its vendors from the event, including: Testa Catering, Cool Hand Luke’s, Renoda Campbell Photography, Cody Dawson Auctioneer, DJ Jay Turner, Unfinished Business and City of Santa Maria.

This year’s gala was presented by Diamond Sponsors, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Central Coast Foundation and Driscoll’s. Other sponsors for the evening included the following: Mexican Ladies Social Club, Leavitt Coastal Valley Insurance, Dignity Health, Montecito Bank & Trust, Rotary Club of SM Breakfast, PETS Hospital, SpaceX, Santa Barbara Foundation, Ogden Wealth Management, CenCal Health, Columbia Bank, Astound Business Solutions, Allstate Premier Blue Insurance Agency, CoastHills Credit Union, SESLOC Credit Union, Community Bank of Santa Maria and Allan Hancock College.
