Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has seen a whirlwind of activity as our Club members get ready for in-person school once again! Thanks to some of our generous and thoughtful supporters, many of our kids benefitted from a great shopping trip for school clothes, as well as a bounty of school supplies.
Thank you to the Kiwanis of Santa Maria–Noontime for organizing the 3rd Annual School Clothes Shopping Spree in partnership with Old Navy and Chik-fil-A. About 40 of our Santa Maria and Guadalupe members got to spend the day with Kiwanis volunteers and others who took them shopping for school clothes with deep discounts at Old Navy and with gift cards donated by many community members. Afterward, they enjoyed lunch at Chik-fil-A. Always great to start the year looking and feeling your best!
Pacific Premier Bank donated thousands of dollars worth of the most in-demand school supplies so that 275 of our Members across all 13 of our Club sites would have everything they needed to do their best in the class this year. Bank volunteers assembled complete back to school kits and delivered them to our Clubs in Paso Robles and Santa Maria. Their generosity and enthusiasm for making sure our Club Members can succeed is the kind of partnership that can really take kids places.
