Members learned more about counting with this fun ice cream cone activity. The paper ice cream cones had numbers which represented how many scoops of ice cream were supposed to be on the cone. Members used tongs to “scoop” the ice cream (cotton balls) onto the cones.
Members had a blast getting to create these spooky, yet tasty, treats. Members made fun edible spider webs using melted white chocolate and pretzels. After the spiderwebs were settled, Members were able to enjoy their yummy snacks!

Members at Tom Mass got to participate in a fun and light-hearted competition of cup stacking. They grouped up in fours and were only allowed to use yarn and a rubber band to complete their towers. This activity fostered friendly competition and teamwork as well as strategic thinking skills in order to win.
Members conducted experiments using different colored water and pipettes! This activity showed them that certain colors mixed together can make a wider variety of colors. After experimenting for a while, Members got to make their own colors by selecting from “rainbow” cups.
Our smaller Members at theTom Maas Clubhouse were having a blast hopping around on their bouncy toys. They love getting to play with one another and especially love when Staff join in!
For the National Arts Program, Tom Maas Members can get very creative. Members were able to make foxes out of oil pastels. Even though Members looked at the same fox drawing for inspiration, everyone created something unique and they found their personal style.
Members at the Tom Mass Clubhouse had so much fun creating art with cut up apples! To kick off the Spooky Season, Members created pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns by using cut up apples, paint, and paper. They covered the apples in orange paint, stamped it onto their papers, and then put faces on their pumpkins.

On Friday, August 25, the Shandon members cooled down, enjoyed the water, and had a blast in the summer heat.
